French Town, Pondicherry, India
Even after Indian independence in 1947, Pondicherry is still part of French until 20 years later.
Until today, the so called White Town have better city layout and cleaner cities compared to their Indian counterpart.
Pondicherry is 3 hours by car from Chennai International Airport.
The best time to visit Pondicherry is in December and January as there the weather is nicer around 20-25 degrees during the day and below 19 degree at night.
For those who love shopping, their is Christmas, New Year and Pongal Sales during the 2 months.
