Normally when I need some relax, I prefer going to the beach or to the Cameron Highland. But a good alternative which is near Kuala Lumpur is Awana Genting Highland and Golf Resort at Genting Highland.
Genting Highland is only 45 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur via Karak Highway. Alternatively you can ride Genting Bus boarding from KL Sentral, Puduraya Bus Station or Terminal Putra LRT station. The bus will bring you to the cable car station. At the cable car station take taxi to the resort hotel.
The eco-friendly resort offer variety of outdoor activities including 18 hole golf, horse riding, archery and wall climbing and my favorite, swimming. What on earth swimming in the chilly weather? The swimming pool is heated so there is no problem.

Bring jeans (for horse riding), some warm cloth and swimwear. If you prefer outdoor activities, sun block is advised.
Actually am very crazy about playing Golf. After playing I will retire at Golf Resort and take rest.
